Yesterday picking my boys up from the bus stop I had the most incredible moment with my youngest son Blanton. He is 5 years old and a bit of a handful, if you know what I mean. He’s opinionated, talks back and never listens. Blanton is my “pay-back” kid from all the things I did to my parents growing up and if you are a parent you know exactly what kind of kid I’m describing. Blanton and I were walking home from the bus stop and he said “mom I got to go to the treasure chest today, look” and he showed me this orange dinosaur figure. I said “Cool! Blanton, why did you get to go to the treasure chest?” (You only get to go to the treasure chest if you do something good at school.) Then Blanton said, “Well I prayed to Jesus after recess to let me go to the treasure chest today and then my teacher called my name to go at the end of the day”. He said it as just a matter of fact. Just like, well I asked and He answered. It was that child-like faith. So this morning having some quiet time I flipped my Bible open and I found myself at this scripture.
Luke 11:9-10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened.
What are you asking God for? What are you seeking in your life? What opportunity are you praying for? Whatever it is….. KEEP ON. Keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking. KEEP ON KEEPING ON! Stay in faith and remain consistent in it. Look at verse 10, For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. Post a comment and share what you are believing for. I will stand with you in believing and keeping on.
